Your talent
I'm a visual artist from the M2 Art Studio in Kiberia.
Where you're from?
Kiberia, in Nairobi.
Why did you get interested in art?
I guess I was born an artist. I don't have any awards except the one I have awarded myself as a real ghetto boy, with a million of weird ideas in his mind.
What are you up to now?
Right now I am working on a group of paintings called "Windows". They depict Kenya after the skirmishes.
What is your best piece of art and why?
My best artwork was "Where Are We Heading" featured at the International School of Kenya and the people loved it.
Is there any place in Kenya that inspires you in terms of your music?
It would have to be Kiberia.
If you could pick your dream wildlife destination in Kenya - where would it be and what would you get up to there?
Lamu on the North Coast, for the dhow rides, donkey rides and races.
What do you love about the Kenyan people?
They forget easily and they will forgive most things.
Who out of your musical/artistic influences would make the best game viewing partner?
I would bring Akon and Eric Wainania and after the game drive we would make a good colabo. The Kenyan musician, Eric Wainaina, would be top of my list because his music has no politics.
How does it feel to be in Kenya now - what are travellers missing out on?
It feels good, and if you are not here you are missing the peace and the good weather, plus the wildebeest migration to the south.
If you missed it this time around - you can always book a safari in the Mara next year - Acacia Adventure Holidays' 10-day Best of Kenya & Tanzania adventure will take you there.
Can you give adventurers the inside track on travel in your home destination - what should they bring with them to Kenya?
A good camera to catch the highlights, and a lot of sunburn lotion.
Catch the highlights before the crowd do: Think of John Le Carré's African thriller "The Constant Gardener" and you'll have arrived at remote Lake Turkana - well almost. Now you can do it for real on Acacia Adventure Holidays' NEW 8-day Kenya's Untamed North adventure.
What would be the first words you'd utter to a tourist if you hooked up with them on the street, and where's the first place you'd take them to in downtown Nairobi?
"Niaje" (or Wassup?), followed by "Washa sigara" (light up a cigar) and a trip to Florida 2000 because it's an ideal place for any partygoer.
"Must have" phrases for adventurers in Kenya?
"Jambo rafiki" (Hallo friend)
"Nimepotea" (I am lost)
